Well, I was born on the hard, cold streets of Clearwater, FL on our nations bi-centennial. After being found by a transient, I was raised by manatees, or sea cows, until finally leaving the waters of the Gulf O' Mexico and moving, as is the law for Floridians, to Asheville, NC. Once here, I'm sorry to say, I followed the crowd and became a gay organic farmer. That only lasted a short while, and I moved my focus to Appalachain Studies, with a minor in panhandling for weed. After all was said and done, I'm happy to say that I'm part of the (disfunctional) family at Rock 104.9, bringing you 4 decades of the best classic rock. In all reality though, I always wanted to play radio, and now I'm lucky enough to do it as a career. I'm really down with travelling the globe, and since becoming sober over 17 months ago, have developed quite the fondness for collecting rare and exotic Nike footwear. The TV writers strike of last year produced at least one good thing...while the writers were forced to remain dorment, their creativity was not. Bill Hader, of Saturday Night Live, and some of his castmates and friends of other shows (such as "The State") made this funny ass video about fanboys waiting in line for a (fake) movie....it's good enough for a early weekend chuckle. A former art school student, David Byrne of Talking Heads fame is no stranger to creativity, but tackling bike rack for the city of NY is a new one....part of a program encouraging folks to ride instead of drive. check out the video and start saving, as the city is looking to get in the 5 figure range for these..

Well, this years Ozzfest has come...and gone, as it was a one-off affair just outside of Dallas. Some reports have the show as a whole as a tid bit disapointing, but Metallica was "sharp enough to cut glass" and Ozzy apparently brought the house down...Heres some bootleg video of Metallica rockin' some new stuff of the upcoming "Death Magnetic" with "Cyanide". As the "Guitar Hero" franchise continues to spawn new game after new game, it's about to get REAL....The Prince of Darkness with his evil cohort Zakk Wylde are gonna be in the new "World Tour" edition of Guitar Hero. Read about it here at USA Today.
